Hmmm…is the Forest Service now fighting against the green current on behalf of substantial thinning?

Editor’s comment:  This report is interesting in that it may suggest the beginnings of a new and somewhat stiffer resolve on the Forest Service’s part on behalf of substantial thinning and fuel reduction projects, despite persisting resistance from the “let nature takes its course,” recreational, and aesthetic interests opposing logging in national forests.  The report comes from the HOOD RIVER NEWS and concerns a proposed project near Mt. Hood in Oregon.  I found the report — written by Patrick Mulvihill and published Feb. 13th — worth reading, and perhaps even telling, esp. if read between the lines.
