Editor’s note:  Utah’s Ken Ivory wants to take that state’s demand for the return of federal lands to the U.S. Supreme Court by this year’s end.  This online report, from THE DAILY ASTORIAN, published Feb. 19th, offers a good summary of the history of Utah’s case for land repatriation.  Both positives and negatives of Utah’s legal case are reviewed.  So too is Idaho’s current situation respecting land transfer.  Worth a read.
